The “EIDOS” International Charity Foundation is conducting the First International Open Visual Arts Competition “EIDOS-2006/07”

The “EIDOS-2006/07” competition is dedicated to the theme of creating a museum of contemporary art. The Competition’s main task is to search for new ideas and names, as well as support young artists’ initiatives which could appropriately represent Ukraine in the world art community. The idea for the competition was the brainchild of Lyudmyla Bereznitska, President of the “EIDOS” Foundation. The competition is being held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine and the Delegation of the European Commission in Ukraine.

The Jury and the Competition Expert Council picked 21 best projects which will compete in the Final Round. The award ceremony of the Competition will take place on May 27th. The finalists works, according to various categories, will be awarded by seven first prizes equaling US$2,000. The projects which participated at the Final Round will be represented at future national and international exhibitions.
